The one-eyed pig scarer shows his softer side when Odie plays his harmonica. The police arrive at the farm and Odie learns that the pig-scarer’s name is Jack. The police inquire if Jack has seen Emmy or her kidnappers but Jack denies having any knowledge of the group… choosing instead to keep the boys as captive farm hands. During an evening of song and drink, Odie hatches a plan to gain the farmer’s trust by building a still. A noisy neighbor arrives asking questions which allows Odie to learn more about their captor…
