SHREVEPORT, La. — Shreve Memorial Library is celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month with free events at branches throughout Caddo Parish now through Oct. 15.
The arts and crafts workshops, food demonstrations, story times, film screenings and games programs are open to the public.
The library will highlight the diverse cultures and accomplishments of Hispanic Americans with a variety of hands-on activities. Patrons can learn to make Guatemalan worry dolls, Molas from Panama, and Mexican folk art. The library will provide all supplies, but registration may be required for some programs…
