PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Summer 2025 was Portland’s busiest for pedestrian traffic since before the COVID-19 pandemic, according to data from Downtown Portland Clean & Safe.
In a new Downtown Foot Traffic Report released on Monday, officials shared that, through August, downtown saw over 21.24 million pedestrians visit downtown, up 5.6% from the same time period in 2024.
The report also highlighted local events like Cinco De Mayo, the Rose Festival and Project Pabst, which brought large numbers into the city.
