Man receives maximum sentence for brutal assault leaving woman with paralysis

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WACH) — Authorities sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for a brutal domestic violence assault that left a woman hospitalized for months with permanent injuries in Lexington County.

According to the 11th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, Michael B. Harvey II, 53, received the maximum charge under South Carolina law on September 4 for domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
