COLUMBUS, Ohio — Dozens packed City of Grace church in Columbus Tuesday night with the goal of finding solutions to curb city crime and youth violence. It’s something of particular interest to 7th grader Ta’ryah Moore.
“It’s important because kids my age are dying and killing people left and right, and stuff like that can be prevented if you know how to prevent it and what to do,” said Moore.
The event, called Community Conversations and Dinner, took place just hours after a 14-year-old was hospitalized, after police say he was shot during a fight between 20 to 30 other kids in an alleyway in Franklin Township.
