Disturbing new details have emerged in the case of Laken Snelling, a University of Kentucky cheerleader whose infant son was found dead in a closet, including a further insight into the condition the baby boy was found in.
Snelling, 21, had just started her senior year at the University of Kentucky when her baby son was found dead in a trash bag. A person, whose identity remains unidentified, called 911 on August 27 after finding the baby. The person said the infant was cold to the touch.
“Complainant just found a dead baby in a closet; it is cold to the touch,” the 911 dispatcher noted.
The temperature the body was found in could indicate that some time passed between the baby’s death and the 911 call, which was included in heavily redacted call dispatch records obtained by The Lexington Herald Leader…
