An Alabama teen who lost two limbs in a shark attack says she is “grateful” to be alive — and is now channeling her trauma into positivity.

Lulu Gribbin was 15 years old when she was attacked by the shark off the shore of Walton County in Florida in June 2024. South Walton Fire District Chief Ryan Crawford previously said the teen was swimming about four miles away near the first sandbar at Seacrest Beach at the time of the attack.

According to Gribbin’s mother, Ann, the girl’s left hand was bitten off by the shark while doctors had to amputate her right leg “halfway up from her knee to her hip.”…
