An unlicensed contractor has been charged with quoting work for screened-in lanais in The Villages.
Marc Anthony Arias, 40, of Leesburg, was arrested earlier this month on a Sumter County warrant charging him with contracting without a license.
The Sumter County Building Department lodged a complaint with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation regarding Arias’ business, MJ Screen Aluminum LLC of Wildwood. The investigation revealed that during 2024, Arias was quoting jobs in The Villages and elsewhere, claiming to be a licensed contractor.
