ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) Roanoke City Council voted unanimously in Monday night’s meeting to adopt an ordinance that prohibits any future ownership of wolf-dog hybrids within city limits.
Current responsible owners of wolf-dogs must register the animals with the police department within the next 30 days. They must also pay an annual fee of $150, maintain liability insurance of at least $100,000, and enclose them in a shelter no closer than 500 feet from a school or child daycare facility.
