DEWITT, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The new traffic light on East Genesee Street went from flashing yellow Monday morning to red by the afternoon during its first day.
The DOT says the new light will have a video detection sensor which links up with other lights on Genesee street.
“It will start to meter the traffic. It will create gaps in the traffic,” said Betsy Parmley, the I-81 Viaduct project director. “It will line people up as soon as they exit so they can place themselves where they need to go.”…
