Man arrested after armed burglary and theft spree in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. — On Sunday, September 14, just after 6:15 p.m., officers responded to a weapons violation in progress near Gregory and Judson streets. A victim reported that an unknown man entered her home armed with a knife, threatened her dogs, and stole a bicycle.

Officers spotted a man matching the suspect’s description riding the stolen bicycle nearby. Despite being ordered to stop, the suspect continued riding and was apprehended about a mile away. A search revealed several medications, including a prescription bottle, taken from the victim’s home. The bicycle was also confirmed to have been stolen from a neighbor’s residence.

The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Isiah King of Lincoln, was initially taken to the hospital before being transported to the Lancaster County Jail. King faces charges of burglary, obstructing a peace officer, and theft by receiving $1,500-$5,000…
