Wichita man accused of secretly recording child found not guilty on all counts

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A former Wichita State University director accused of putting a hidden camera in a bedroom of his apartment and secretly recording an underage girl was found not guilty Wednesday on all of the charges he faced.

Christopher Garnier was acquitted on six counts of installing a concealed camcorder without consent, a Level 8 felony.

During a police interview in May 2024, Garnier told detectives he purchased the camera because the girl had “gotten herself into a lot of trouble over the years.”…
