ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) – The Asheville Police Department are asking for help in identifying an armed robber after he robbed a convenience store with a machete.
On Monday morning September 15, officers were called out to the 200 block of State Street to investigate an armed robbery. Upon arrival, an employee of the store told officers that a man wearing a face covering and hood had entered the store three separate times. The third time, the man pulled out a machete and went behind the counter, before grabbing a bag with $2,600 in cash and fleeing the scene.
The man is described as a white male standing at approximately 5’7″, with curly blonde hair that officers believe to be a wig. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans, and blue Nike sneakers. He was also wearing a white and grey face covering at the time of the crime…
