Man charged with murder in fatal shooting in Taft

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Not guilty pleas were entered Wednesday on behalf of a man charged with first-degree murder in connection with a deadly shooting in Taft.

Nahaman Bucato, 34, is also charged with assault with a gun and is eligible for the death penalty. He’s being held without bail.

Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Philippine Street at about 3:50 a.m. on Monday and found a man dead inside a home, according to sheriff’s officials…
