There was once a time in downtown Buffalo where you had all sorts of great options to grab something to eat. Not only were there great restaurants all over the place, we had a grocery store sold great sandwiches, and an entire food court with several spots where you could grab a bite. However, those days are long gone and, while there are a few places left, your options for food have been limited quite a bit.
One of the most popular places to get some food while you were downtown was the Main Place Mall. Since the downtown pedestrian focused mall shuttered its doors, it displaced thousands of Buffalonains looking for food and it also displaced one historic pizzeria.
Gino & Joe’s Famous NY Pizza, which served downtown pizza lovers in downtown Buffalo for 4 decades was one of the last holdouts in the mall, but nothing lasts forever and they shut their doors this past spring.
