As the Shale Insight Conference wound down on Wednesday, protestors gathered outside in opposition of fossil fuels.
Organizers said the shale conference is an opportunity for lobbyists to place roadblocks on renewable development, and the rally is geared to advocate for renewable energy sources.

The event is a part of a worldwide week of action called Sun Day, where activists around the globe show their support for solar, wind, and battery-powered energy.
“We recognize that conventions like these do offer a lot of economic opportunities for the community, but they can also pose a lot of risks, like, for example, with hydraulic fracturing or fracking, which poses a lot of threats to our air, water, and community health,” said Julia Jacobs, the rally organizer and a Penn State Behrend student…
