Police arrest, charge Covington man for mass violence threats

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 31-year-old Covington, Tenn. man is now in police custody after they say he admitted his role in authoring threats of harm on social media posts spanning several months.

The Facebook posts threatened stalking, harassment, and called for the assault of Shelby County correctional officers, medical staff, and inmates located at the Shelby Co. Criminal Justice Center, as well as staff and personnel for Regional One Health, Cardinal Health’s staff and its Chief Executive Officer.

On Monday, Sept. 15, agents from the Tennessee Office of Homeland Security reported to Covington police that they had received screenshots from the Facebook page of an individual identified as Adam Tucker…
