AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The director of an Amarillo drug addiction treatment center was accused of re-entering the US illegally.
Court documents filed Tuesday in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas reported that David Alcocer-Escamilla was indicted on one count of “Illegal Re-entry After Deportation.”

Now Ministries in Amarillo has listed Alcocer-Escamilla as its director. In December 2021, Alcocer-Escamilla was convicted of the same charge and sentenced to three years.
According to a criminal complaint filed in the US District Court on Sept. 16, Homeland Security Investigations Special Agents encountered Alcocer-Escamilla in north Amarillo. Immigration records showed that he was a citizen and national of Mexico and was removed from the United States in 2022…
