A Jackson man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in Madison County Circuit Court to hindering a prosecution in Ridgeland.
The man, Demarques Smith, 30, pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and was sentenced Wednesday to serve 15 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, according to Madison County District Attorney John K. “Bubba” Bramlett.
