Lubbock toddler ‘roars’ through blood cancer battle at UMC Children’s Hospital

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Two-year-old Sealey Moreno, now cancer-free, is roaring alongside his favorite dinosaur toys with an occasional trip back to UMC Children’s Hospital for checkups, where he spent half a year battling acute myeloid leukemia, a blood cancer.

Parents Shelby and Roy noticed their new addition to the family, a usually spunky 18-month-old boy, was wasn’t as playful and had a rash.

“We thought it was something he was allergic to at daycare,” Shelby said. “It kind of progressively got worse and he got tired and wasn’t as interactive with us.”…
