Nebraska to honor legendary volleyball coach John Cook with statue dedication

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska Athletic Department will honor legendary Nebraska Volleyball Head Coach John Cook with a statue dedication ceremony on Thursday, September 18, at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place on the north side of the Bob Devaney Sports Center, near the bottom of the pedestrian ramp.

Seating is reserved for invited guests, with limited standing room available. Media are invited to attend, with a designated area for members of the press. The ceremony will also be streamed on social media channels.

Speakers at the one-hour event will include University of Nebraska President Jeffrey Gold, Nebraska Director of Athletics Troy Dannen, Nebraska Volleyball Head Coach Dani Busboom Kelly, and Cook himself.
