LUBBOCK, Texas–The Escondido Grill is hosting an event to remember Furr’s Cafeteria on Sunday, September 21 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Fall festivities in Lubbock and the South Plains to attend
In a social media post the restaurant said it “will be creating some of the most popular menu selections that you know and loved growing up.”
Furr’s Cafeteria first opened in Hobbs, New Mexico in 1946. Furr’s then expanded to 80 locations, two being in Lubbock. The Furr’s recipes are still remembered by the Escondido family even after the closure of the final location in 2021…
