OPSO employee says cyberattack led to ‘substantial’ data loss

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – An Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office employee said in an email Wednesday that this month’s cyberattack caused the loss of a substantial amount of data.

Contracts, intake documents, and expense information comprise the 842 gigabytes of data that Axios reports the Russian ransomware group Qilin claims it stole from the Sheriff’s Office.
