Kansas Man Arrested for Murder of Pregnant Girlfriend After PS5 Dispute

Sedgwick County, KS – A tragic domestic incident in Sedgwick County has left a 20-year-old woman dead and her newborn critically injured after a violent shooting at a family home. Police have arrested Matthew Criscenzo, also 20, who has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder.

Fatal Shooting Over Relationship Dispute

Police say the incident occurred on May 25, 2025, at the home of Criscenzo’s father in the 700 block of South Laura Avenue, Wichita. Authorities allege that Criscenzo shot his pregnant girlfriend, Naomi Oglesby, also 20, following an argument in which she reportedly turned off his PS5 controller and told him she was leaving.

The shooting left Oglesby dead, and she was 37 weeks pregnant at the time. Medical staff performed an emergency C-section to deliver the baby, who survived but is facing serious complications, including severe brain trauma due to lack of oxygen.

According to court documents, when officers arrived, Criscenzo made multiple spontaneous statements expressing remorse and disbelief.
