Crews rescue 2 hikers from Scottsdale mountain trail

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Crews from multiple agencies are working to rescue two hikers along a Scottsdale mountain trail.

Technical rescue teams from Scottsdale, Phoenix and Glendale responded to a mountain trail on Thompson Peak Parkway, north of Bell Road, around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Scottsdale Fire officials say two women, 61 and 69 years old, reported they were lost and out of water.

Teams deployed, including e-bikes and a rescue helicopter. Crews located the hikers, who have been on the mountain since 9 a.m., and are working to hoist them to safety…
