PORTLAND, Ore. — Two undocumented fathers who have been in the United States for decades were arrested on the streets of North Portland and whisked away by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers earlier this week, family members told KGW.
Portland City Councilor Sameer Kanal took to social media on Tuesday, saying that ICE officers had “reportedly” just detained two North Portland residents — one on his way to work, and another who was with a 13-year-old child outside of a school.
“The kidnapping of our neighbors is horrific and unacceptable,” Kanal said. “My heart goes out to the families, and my office is working to get more information about where their loved ones were taken.”…
