CLEVELAND (WJW) — FOX 8’s Wayne Dawson shared an update on his ongoing fight and recovery from oral cancer on Thursday.
In a video shared with FOX 8, the longtime anchor, dressed in a hospital gown in the surgical unit of the Cleveland Clinic, said he was awaiting his fourth surgery in the past year-and-a-half.

Dawson said this latest surgery is one of two scheduled for the reconstruction of his chin and teeth.
“They’re going to go in and [are] going to cut back the flap, the piece of meat they took from my leg to put it where the cancer was, and expose my gums to make sure the posts are in place so they can start the reconstruction process,” he said…
