Union Township, Pa. — A 65-year-old Winfield motorcyclist was killed Wednesday evening when he hit two deer while traveling in Union Township.
PSP Milton say Craig A. Derk was traveling just after 6:30 p.m. on Trutt Road north of Yordy Road when a pair of deer entered the roadway. Derk was not able to avoid the deer and the front of his Harley Davidson motorcycle hit them.
The impact caused the motorcycle to fall on its left side and Derk was thrown off, according to Trooper Joshua Meyers…
