With news that The Conjuring House is scheduled to be sold at auction on Halloween, does that mean the paranormal attraction that helped spawn a popular movie universe is close to reopening after the town had shut it down last December?
That’s only one of several possible outcomes of the auction. While the new owners might reopen the attraction to the public, they might also make it private and closed to the public. They might also seek to use the 8-acre property to build a new house, tearing down the centuries-old farmhouse where the Perron family says they were tormented by a malevolent spirit when they lived there in the 1970s.
Justin Manning, of JJ Manning Auctioneers, who will sell the house at the 1677 Round Top Rd. property in Burrillville, Rhode Island at 11 a.m., Oct. 31, said that, even though The Conjuring House has been listed for auction for less than a week, it has already drawn significant interest, both from parties he would describe as horror fans as well as builders and developers…
