Clothes Dryer Sparks Fire In Virginia Townhome

Firefighters in Virginia say a residential fire sparked by a clothes dryer was quickly extinguished Tuesday night.

Chesterfield County Fire and EMS said crews responded at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday to a reported fire on the 4000 block of Squire Hill Court in Richmond. They arrived to find smoke coming from the windows of one of the townhomes. Inside, they found a fire in a clothes dryer.

Photos shared by the fire department show the burned appliance and a pile of what appears to be burned clothes outside the townhouse on a sidewalk, alongside a burned door that had been removed from the home…
