(Cedar Rapids, IA) — An independent study is confirming concerns over the risks to an Iowa airport from a planned energy plant.
The study commissioned by the Cedar Rapids Airport Commission says plumes from 200-foot smokestacks at a planned Alliant Energy facility in Fairfax would interfere with planes taking off and landing at Eastern Iowa Airport.
