BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – There is a great local opportunity to keep your pets and their health, top of mind. The second annual Glen Oaks Pet Vaccine Clinic with the Companion Animal Alliance is a dog-only pet clinic, taking place on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 5-7 p.m., at Glen Oaks Park Elementary School, 5656 Lanier Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70812.
The clinic will include free vaccines, pet food, leashes, collars and more. Registration begins at 4 p.m.
This event is in collaboration with District 5 Councilman Darryl Hurst after he worked to remove a restriction on CAA to allow the organization the ability to provide medical aid to animals outside of the shelters. Since doing so, CAA has:
- Vaccinated over 1,000 pets.
- Provided heartworm prevention for over 450 dogs.
- Provided over 8,000 households with food for their pets.
