ELGIN/BROADVIEW, Ill. (WGN) — Recent ICE raids in the area continue to spark fear in immigrant communities around Chicagoland, with faith leaders and community organizers trying to support those who may be targeted.
Faith leaders, elected officials and community organizers came together at Elgin’s First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday evening to pray for and support Elgin’s immigrant community in the wake of the latest ICE arrests there and around Chicagoland.
