TERREBONE PARISH, La. (KLFY) — A murder suspect found in the Lafayette area was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on Sept. 9, deputies said.
According to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office three suspects were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred at the 700 block of Bayou Gardens Boulevard in Terrebonne Parish, deputies said.
Kendell Michael Gale, 27, of Vacherie; Nicholas Anthony Chopin, 19, of Geismar; and Joshua Joseph Domino, 18, of Vacherie, were all charged in connection with the incident.
- Nicholas A. Chopin, 19 – identified and later apprehended in the Lafayette area with assistance from multiple local agencies. Chopin was also arrested on charges of First-Degree Murder and Attempted First-Degree Murder. Chopin was transferred to Terrebonne Parish custody and remains jailed with No Bond.
- Kendell M. Gale, 27 – identified and located at his residence in Vacherie, LA. Gale was arrested on charges of First-Degree Murder and Attempted First-Degree Murder. Gale was transferred to Terrebonne Parish custody and remains jailed with No Bond set by local judges.
- Joshua J. Domino, 18 – identified and later turned himself in to authorities in Dallas, TX, after learning of outstanding warrants. Domino was subsequently arrested on charges of First-Degree Murder and Attempted First-Degree Murder. TPSO is currently working with Texas authorities on the extradition process to return Domino to Terrebonne Parish.
Deputies were dispatched to an apartment in the 700 block of Bayou Gardens Boulevard, after witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots in the area on the evening of Sept. 9.
