Stomy start to the day

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Meteorologist Jake Dunne says here we go again. It’s another stormy start to the day across Kansas, and we will see off-and-on activity slowly ending from west to east this afternoon. However, nothing severe is expected, and additional rainfall will be light, generally less than half an inch.

The clouds will keep temperatures on the cool side this afternoon with most of the state seeing highs in the lower to middle 70s, or 5 to 10 degrees below normal. Friday and Saturday promise to be a little warmer with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s respectively.

A relatively weak weather maker racing across the area this weekend will bring a slight chance of showers and storms to central and eastern Kansas. The best odds will be along and east of a Hays to Dodge City line both Friday night and Saturday afternoon/evening…
