Drunk Nevada driver crashes into Reno’s police training station

There are mistakes. There are screw ups. And then there’s “Did we just crash into a Reno police building at 2 a.m.?”

Early in the morning of Thursday, September 11, someone called Reno 911. A red Audi crashed into the brick wall of the Regional Public Safety Training Center, where firefighters and police officers learn and practice their trade.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office raced to the scene around 2:05 a.m. The car had veered off the road, flattened two bushes and a tree, then stopped against the brick wall at the front of the complex. No airbags deployed. Neither the driver nor his adult male passenger reported injuries…
