Seattle Police Lieutenant Uses SUV To Block Driver From Striking Pedestrian

The Seattle Police Department said a lieutenant stopped a man from running over a pedestrian Friday by driving her SUV into his vehicle, halting what she described as a chaotic and dangerous scene.

“The Prius shot out from Southwest Othello onto 47th and he almost clipped my back panel,” said Lt. Heidi Tuttle.

Tuttle said she stopped her vehicle and watched as the Prius swerved through traffic, nearly colliding with another car head-on, coming close to three more vehicles and almost striking a pedestrian. She recalled that the driver appeared to be targeting a man in the street…
