National Park Service invites volunteers to participate in post-Helene service projects

BLUE RIDE PARKWAY, N.C. (WLOS) — The National Park Service is inviting visitors to participate in multiple service projects along with a wide variety of programs on Sept. 27 to mark the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Helene’s impact on the Blue Ridge Parkway and National Public Lands Day.

According to a news release from the National Park Service, National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer event in support of public lands.
