An investigation is underway after a 10 week-old puppy was stolen from an animal shelter in Broward County. Cherie Wachter with the Humane Society of Broward County says Pebbles, a 10 lb. puppy recovering from parasites and ringworm, was snatched from a secured kennel by a visitor carrying a backpack just before closing Friday afternoon, September 12th, at their location off Griffin Road.
