Police arrest 15-year-old boy carrying gun equipped with extended magazine in Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A 15-year-old boy was arrested after he was found to be concealing a firearm equipped with an extended magazine Wednesday, according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS).

While members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team (KVET) and Crime Reduction Team (CRT) were conducting a patrol meant to address gun violence in the city, officers said they observed the teen illegally concealing a firearm on Inverness Lane off of Gull Road.
