SEPTA rolls out fare increase, installing new gates to stop fare evasion

SEPTA has restored full service throughout the transit agency, but riders are now facing higher fares and new measures aimed at reducing fare evasion.

The cost of a single trip on buses and subways has increased from $2.50 to $2.90. Regional Rail fares have also gone up by $1 to $2 per trip.
