STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — If a hurricane threatens our area, Martin County has a new ordinance that the Sheriff hopes will keep registered sexual offenders and sexual predators away from children at hurricane shelters.
The measure, which was passed by the Martin County Commission in August, is designed to keep sexual offenders and sexual predators from getting access to children if they decide to go to a hurricane shelter as a storm is approaching.
