RI, Mass. part of regional alliance to restore trust in public health

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island and Massachusetts have joined several other states in the Northeast Public Health Collaborative (NPHC) — a regional partnership created to reestablish and maintain credibility in public health.

The voluntary coalition consists of seven states—Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania—along with New York City, which has the country’s largest municipal health department.

Through the combined expertise of multiple agencies and leaders, the NPHC aims to find new ways to confront emerging threats, support community well-being, and reaffirm confidence in vaccines and science-based medicine…
