ELK GROVE, CA – Sky River Casino marked a milestone in its expansion project with a ‘topping off’ ceremony to install the final precast concrete piece on the new parking garage. Plans to build an enhanced valet service and new porte cochere are moving forward. Patrons will soon enjoy convenient, covered parking starting early 2026.
“Today’s milestone is about more than a parking garage,” said Vice-Chair Raquel Williams of Wilton Rancheria. “Once this phase is complete, it means the real work can start on the world-class resort that we’ve all been dreaming about. It’s an investment for our collective future that will bring prosperity to our tribal citizens, the Elk Grove community, and the Greater Sacramento region for generations to come as we create new jobs and opportunities.”
Wilton Rancheria is the only federally recognized tribe in Sacramento County. In addition to other high-profile investments the tribe is making in the region, Wilton Rancheria possesses nearly 170 acres of land, including Sky River Casino and parcels surrounding it. This includes 77 acres of the tribe’s traditional Rancheria land, which was recently put into federal trust with plans to develop tribal services and preserve its great cultural legacy.
“Today’s ceremony is a powerful symbol of Wilton Rancheria’s resilience, bringing us to this significant moment in history,” said Michael J. Facenda, Sky River Casino President. “It also represents our unwavering commitment to forging ahead and building a brighter future for the tribe and community. Our expansion work is proceeding on track as planned. It’s rewarding to see the expansion come to life and hear the excitement from our guests who have been able to watch the progress in real time.”…
