From DUI Stop to Stolen Vehicle Allegations: Kennett Square Man Faces Multiple Charges

KENNETT SQUARE, PA — Police have taken 21-year-old Yohan Salinas of Kennett Square into custody on charges stemming from an incident that began with a traffic stop in August and later led to an arrest warrant. Authorities reported that Salinas was apprehended on September 15, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m. in the 300 block of East Cypress Street.

According to the Kennett Square Police Department, the case originated on August 23, 2025, when officers stopped a 2005 GMC in the 600 block of East Cypress Street for failing to maintain its lane of travel. Officers said they observed indicators of intoxication in the driver, identified as Salinas, who was subjected to field sobriety tests and taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. Police reported that a subsequent chemical breath test showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.104 percent.

Later that same morning, at approximately 11:37 a.m., police were dispatched for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle description matched the GMC that Salinas had been operating earlier in the day.
