Police officer killed in car crash on way to work

ST. LOUIS (KMOV/Gray News) – An officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department was killed in a crash while he was on his way to work Tuesday, the department said.

According to St. Louis police, District 4 Officer Malik Baker was killed in a crash on Interstate 55 in Illinois.

He had worked for SLMPD for nearly four years.
