From Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, the Kimmel Belonging and Engagement Hub, in partnership with local and on-campus organizations, has highlighted and scheduled events like the Grupo Folklórico dance performance throughout the month to celebrate the Hispanic/Latinx community.
“[The programming] is truly just about creating spaces for students, faculty and staff where they feel like they belong, because they do belong on campus, and we want them to know that we want them to feel celebrated,” Kimmel Program Coordinator Isaac Fa’amoe said.
This month’s events range from informational workshops to festivals and game nights. All of the activities align with this year’s national Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month theme, “Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future.”…
