Fort Collins motorists, take note. Come the last weekend in September, the City of Fort Collins has scheduled a road closure on South Timberline Road, from East Mulberry Street to East Prospect Road. The closure is necessary to allow crews to properly complete crack sealing work on the roadway. This will impact traffic on Saturday, Sept. 27, and Sunday, Sept. 28, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., though activities might extend beyond these hours if needed, weather permitting. According to the City of Fort Collins, drivers will have to plan accordingly and use alternative routes during this time.
For those needing to travel between Mulberry and Prospect over the weekend, detours will guide drivers to Lemay Avenue or the I-25 Frontage Road. Despite the closure, pedestrians won’t need to alter their paths much; sidewalks along Timberline will remain open, and access to the Poudre Trail will be unaffected.
