2 die after chain-reaction wreck in Sparks

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – Two people died after an unsafe lane change on State Route 445/Pyramid Highway near Disc Drive in Sparks caused a chain-reaction wreck that sent a SUV spinning counterclockwise across a raised center median and then striking another vehicle on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 2:23 p.m., according to a Nevada Highway Patrol news release.

Jared Vega, 26, and Caryn Stockton, 56, both of Sparks were pronounced dead on scene, according to the Thursday, Sept. 18, news release.

The third driver was detained during the initial investigation, but no charges have been filed…
