Fire at Barberton commercial building causes collapse

BARBERTON, Ohio (WJW) — A commercial building that caught fire on Thursday, Sept. 18, partially collapsed just seconds after firefighters arrived, according to a news release.

Barberton firefighters responded just before 10:30 p.m. that night to the building in the 400 block of West Tuscarawas Avenue, and found “heavy smoke and fire” coming from its roof, according to the release.
